Overview

Summary

Training Coordinator responsibilities include communicating with managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for teams and individuals. Training Coordinator is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating and conducting all training programs.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Training Coordinator is a specialist responsible for increasing a company's productivity by teaching new skills and knowledge to new and tenured employees.

  • The trainer develops and conducts product and task training programs for employees. Included but not limited to Video Training and Testing Programs (I.E. Forklift training)

  • Identifying ‘Training Needs’ by evaluating strengths and weaknesses. Translating requirements into training that will groom employees for the next step of their career path.

  • Expanding and building on the current annual training programs and preparing teaching plans.

  • Responsible for maintaining all safety documents for compliance and regulatory demands.

  • Selecting or creating appropriate learning materials for instructional purposes. Monitoring the effectiveness of training materials. Reporting those findings to the plant manager.

Qualifications

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • The ability to teach others, exercise leadership, negotiate and work with people from diverse backgrounds are some of the most important skills a Trainer will need to be able to do. In addition, an understanding of conflict resolution and the ability to teach strategies related to it are key

  • College degree or equivalent plant work experience

  • Collaborative/team based management style preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong employee focus

  • General computer literacy

  • Ability to organize and plan workflow. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
