Exide Technologies EDI Analyst in Milton, Georgia

Overview

Exide is seeking an experienced EDI resource to support mission critical integrations with our ERP system. This role will support the onboarding process for new customers and suppliers, including developing new EDI mappings, provide support by troubleshooting and resolving issues, and maintain EDI software and processes as well as participate in other IT projects to support the business.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new customers and trading partners ensuring they are integrated in a timely fashion including development of EDI translation mappings

  • Maintaining documentation of system design and program specifications

  • Troubleshooting and addressing EDI and integration issues within agreed upon service level agreements

  • Supporting ongoing process improvement initiatives through traditional IT project tasks including: collecting requirements, designing solutions, delivering configured/developed solutions, developing & executing test plans, communicating changes with internal & external customers.

  • Working with the IT group to support other enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Performing daily activities of monitoring EDI transactions and correcting errors.

Qualifications

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of IT experience

  • Knowledge of EDI processing standards, VANs, communications methods and general industry standards for EDI based transactions

  • Motivated, resourceful and must show initiative to drive customer satisfaction

  • Knowledge of IT project management concepts

Preferred:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar

Abilities/Skills Required:

  • EDI mapping development experience a must

  • Experience with Extol / Cleo Business Integrator a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communications – Internal and external audiences

  • Knowledge of the transportation and/or warehousing industries and related EDI standards (X12) preferred

  • Experience with RPG based systems preferred

  • ITIL certification a plus

No supervision is anticipated

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Required: English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret requirements documents, industry periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers or suppliers.
