Exide Technologies Warehouse Associate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Overview
The role of the Warehouse person is to receive, check, plaque, store, and prepare for shipment Exide products - batteries, Chargers and associated items. In addition, the incumbent may receive, sort and prepare for shipment scrap batteries received from the customer site. The Warehouse person may assume different responsibilities based on the size of the operation and level of responsibility at the facility.
Responsibilities
Receive ‘black box’ batteries from US shipment, move to production or racking
Receive finished batteries from other Canadian branches, move to storage or prepare for shipment
Prepare batteries and chargers for shipment - includes testing, plaquing, modifying, and option changeouts per specifications. Stage truckload items and load trucks as necessary - Material handling as necessary
Maintain stock inventory - rotate, state of charge, etc, including material handling as necessary
Receive and inspect, segregate stock from custom incoming inventory from the factory
Test, charge (reboost), maintain, changeout options, etc. pre shipment
Audit order ship-to requirements, labeling, customer required specifications
Perform tasking such as counting product, documenting physical or cycle inventory
Perform administrative functions on JDE and computer for inventory control and customer service tracking
Work in a safe manner with all equipment and comply with all safety and health policies
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications :
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Basic computer experience with Microsoft Windows environment a plus
Sit Down and/or Stand Up Forklift Certification would be an asset
Must achieve passing score on pre-employment assessment

Ability to regularly lift a minimum 30lbs on a daily basis and 51 to 70lbs with assistance of equipment on a daily to weekly
